The Invisalign® System
When you come to our office for Invisalign® treatment, Dr. Gene Caiafa will make a mold of your teeth and create the first of a series of aligners which slip over your teeth to effect the straightening process. Each aligner is worn continuously, night and day, in order to gently shift teeth into their ideal positions. Thanks to the virtually transparent material used in the aligners' fabrication, Invisalign® is practically invisible when worn, so no one needs to know you're correcting your teeth unless you choose to tell them. Maintenance is simple and convenient: just remove the aligners when you eat, drink, brush, and floss. Every two to three weeks, the dentist will measure your progress and you will receive another set of aligners. Most patients require between 18 and 30 sets of aligners over the course of about a year to achieve straight teeth and an improved smile.
