The upcoming Thanksgiving holiday makes many people turn inward as they take time to think about what they’re thankful for. Some people are thankful for the people in their lives, for good health or for things that have happened in their lives over the previous year. Others may be thankful for something they’ve achieved or received. Each and every one of us has different things we can add to that list, but the one thing that most of us can share is that whatever we’re thankful for, it usually makes us smile.

Having a smile you can feel confident in sharing with others is something worth being thankful for in and of itself. If your smile is not something you love to share with others or it makes you feel self-conscious, now is the perfect time to start thinking about what you can do to improve the look of your smile.

How can you do that?

If you don’t love to smile because your teeth are dull or discolored, a simple laser teeth whitening treatment may be all you need to provide some brightness and shine. The entire procedure can be completed in an hour or less at the dentist’s office and is a pain-free way to quickly and dramatically transform your smile. You can walk out of the office with your teeth multiple shades whiter than when you walked in, and that can really give you reason to smile.

For those that need more than just some brightening and whitening to feel good about their smile, it’s best to talk with your dentist about what treatments are most appropriate to give you the results you seek. For example, if you have chips or other imperfections in your teeth, you may have options to consider, such as cosmetic bonding or porcelain veneers. The two options will provide you with a more beautiful smile, but they do so in a different way. If straighter teeth is what you desire, you also have options, such as traditional braces or Invisalign.

There are many reasons to smile during Thanksgiving and the upcoming holiday season. Having a smile you can feel proud to share with the world is an added bonus and something that can make you smile wider than you have in a long time.

Wishing you a very happy Thanksgiving holiday – from all of us at Park Dental Care.
